Autumn in Alexandra Park
Whilst walking in the park this autumn on a very foggy morning, I was captivated by this scene of the wonderful colours of autumn against the purple/grey misty background. Picture is painted on a narrow edge canvas and the sides are painted in keeping with the picture; however, it can be framed if required or hung as is. A certificate of authenticity is supplied with the painting.
Temple Newsam Gardens, Leeds
This is a beautiful scene by the lake in the gardens at Temple Newsam in Leeds, Yorkshire with people enjoying being there in the summer. I have painted it in oils on a canvas panel. It is framed in a 2 inch wide brown, wooden frame as shown in the photograph, is varnished and ready to hang. If you would like it unframed please contact me.
Ice Tiger - a large oil on canvas by Gill Bustamante of a tiger by a w
Ice Tiger is a 40 x 40 x 1.5 inches large oil painting on canvas of a white tiger in a distant and strange land. The tiger is stalking along a branch to the left while behind her there is gauzy fantastical landscape that hints of trees and waterfalls in a jungle like landscape. It is art nouveau, contemporary expressionistic, semi-abstract in style and was made by layering many colours over one another with the final layer being white. My aim with the painting was to create a land where a tiger could be free. And because tiger survival is a precarious thing right now, I wanted the painting to be whimsical and fleeting and strange. I think I achieved this! The tiger was originally orange and quite traditionally painted but has become distorted and more abstract as I added more layers. This is big fresh painting that will fit well in clean white spaces. It is on deep edge canvas, white edges, no frame needed, ready to hang.
Art Nouveau Party Horse
Art nouveau party horse is a 30x40x1.5 inches oil painting on canvas of an Arab horse but painted in an art nouveau, rather playful style. This painting began life as a serious portrait of a beautiful bay stallion. However, it was boring so I decided to see what would happen if I made it into a Gustav Klimt style painting. I added lots of gold and some little patterns and marks that transformed it completely. I am very fond of paintings that show an interplay between traditional and abstract so am now very happy with this painting as it looks like a conservative horse who has gone to a party and is letting his hair down (hence the name). The background and edges are gold and it does need a frame and is ready to hang.
These beautiful pink poppies were in some local gardens that I visited and I just had to paint them. I have painted them in oils on a canvas panel. They are framed in a 2 1/2" wide pine wooden frame as illustrated. It is also for sale unframed for £135 - please contact me if you would like it unframed.

Strawberries and Chrome
A very realistic still life comprising strawberries in a Venetian glass alongside highly reflective items emphasising the true to life nature of the work. The work is painted on a stretched canvas and is ready to hang, set in a contemporary white tray frame measuring 48cm x 48 cm overall.
Red Riding Hood in Mosaic
This is an extremely unusual representation of a nude female figure in a red cloak apparently formed as a mosaic of coloured tiles but is in fact painted on a stretched canvas, ready to hang and set in a contemporary dark mahogany effect tray frame. It is meticulously painted with great attention paid to each individual tile. This would be an eye catching talking point in any display. The frame measures 68cm x 48 cm overall x 35 mm deep.
