The Hares Summer Song
Description:
The Hares Summer Song is a large vibrantly coloured semi-abstract landscape painting of a hare among red poppies with a pale summer moon above her. It is 36x36x1.5 inches. The painting was inspired by sightings of hares in the meadows near the South Downs one June. There is a magical aspect to hares and there is a lot of folklore surrounding them which is why when I spotted one, I felt like I was in a fairy story. Especially as she sat in a wildflower meadow with a pale moon above. I believe there is magic in nature and there is magic in the ancient landscapes of England which is something I try to capture when I paint based on a memory of somewhere. The style is semi-abstract art nouveau and was made by building glazes and texture which reflect different colours thought out the day. Painted on deep edge canvas, edges white, ready to hang and comes with certificate of authenticity

A Symphony of Horses
Description:
A Symphony of horses is a semi-abstract purple oil painting of three Arabian horses. It is 36x36x1.5 inches. The three pale dappled horses are positioned in the centre of the canvas with one looking questioningly back at the viewer and the other two looking right and left. The background is purple and the horses are pale whites and greys with dots and flashes of orange making interesting contrasts. The inspiration for it was simply a celebration of the beauty of horses and these horses are moving as if part of a dance or to some kind of equine symphony. They are going somewhere and the invitation is to follow⦠Painted on deep edge canvas, edges purple, ready to hang and comes with certificate of authenticity

White Hart Rising
Description:
White Hart Rising is semi abstract contemporary oil painting of a white deer stag against a green and rainbow coloured abstract background. It is 30x30x1.5 inches. The inspiration for the painting is spotting fallow deer in the Sussex area. Deer look like ethereal creatures to me anyway but a white deer is even more so. In folklore deer are often revered as spirit guides or messengers and it is interesting how this idea crosses so many cultures. Painted on deep edge canvas, edges green, ready to hang and comes with certificate of authenticity.

This oil painting captures the quiet majesty of an Eagle Owl poised in stillness, its striking amber eyes glowing with alert intelligence. The Winter Monarchs
Description:
The Winter Monarchs is a large white oil painting in semi-abstract art nouveau style of two deer, a stag and a doe, in a winter landscape. It is 40x40x1.5 inches. Two deer stand looking imperiously at the viewer. The female is as proud as the male and it is easy to imagine them as monarchs in the way that they are posing as if for a formal portrait. Deer have this ability to look scared, slightly annoyed and defiant all at the same time once they see you and will try to out stare you if they can. The inspiration for the painting is simply me wanting to capture the beauty of red deer, especially when you see them in the snow and ice of winter as you can in Scotland. It was made using many layers of paint with very thick impasto white paint to add texture as the final layer. Painted on deep edge canvas, edges white, ready to hang and comes with certificate of authenticity. #deer #winter #white #white painting.

Stag in the Ether
Description:
Stag in the Ether is one of a series of semi-abstract paintings of a red deer stag. It is 30x30x1.5 inches. The stag himself is painted in cool blues and purples and is seem emerging out of the ether from a warm red and orange background. The inspiration for this painting is simply an expression of the fascination I have for deer. They are often very elegant and appear and disappear at will which is why in folklore they are often portrayed as guides to the spirit world or to another universe. A nice idea I think! Painted on deep edge canvas, edges purple, ready to hang and comes with certificate of authenticity

An Awakening
Description:
An Awakening is an original oil painting of a female deer in a landscape of lakes, mountains and forests. It is 36x30x1.5 inches. The painting is in semi-abstract, art nouveau and totally unique in style. A female fallow deer stands to the left having emerged from the trees with the hint of a lake and mountains beyond her. Vertical layering of transparent golden paint glazes makes the scene shimmer and reflect different colours when viewed at different angles which gives it a jewel like quality. The deer looks as if she is wondering about her life. A nice idea, although she is probably just wondering what to eat next, but I liked the idea that she could dream as humans do (and how do we know she canât?...) Painted on 3D canvas, white edges, ready to hang and comes with certificate of authenticity

Turtle Dove
Description:
This acrylic painting depicts a graceful turtle dove perched delicately on a rock, its soft, muted feathers blending shades of grey, white, blue, and subtle copper . The dove's gentle, serene expression reflects its peaceful nature. The background features a tranquil landscape, perhaps a soft blur of green foliage, creating a soothing atmosphere. The brushstrokes are smooth, yet textured, giving the feathers a natural, feathery softness. The dove's silhouette stands out, its subtle elegance enhanced evoking a sense of peace and harmony.

Once Upon a Time
Description:
Once Upon a Time is a large oil painting of a colourful woodland path watched over by a small deer where strange things are about to happen. It is 48x48x1.5 inches. The painting shows an autumnal woodland path leading to a light filled clearing. The path is enticing and will lead you to the thing you most want to see there. To the left is a small female deer. Deer are often seen as spiritual harbingers or guides. The painting style is semi-abstract art nouveau and was simply inspired by the thrill I personally get when I walk from an ancient English wood into a light filled clearing. It is often magical and I often feel as if a revelation is about to happen. I am not sure of the basis of that feeling but I am not along in finding Nature quite magical and woodland walking quite therapeutic! Painting on deep edge canvas, edges light green, ready to hang and comes with certificate of authenticity and gifts from the artist.
