Encaustic wax is a unique way of creating completely different paintings-- it is not 100% controllable -which makes it very interesting to work with..
I use an electric iron to melt the wax and 'paint' the picture using the iron. and love the unpredictable nature of it.

Hope is one of Ros's original seascape painting depicting a passing storm with an atmosphere of hope in the sky and the calming of the waters. It has a great deal of presence and unfortunately the limitations of dispay on the web mean you miss a lot of the subtle, but important detail in this atmospheric painting.
