Description:
This is a portrait painted in the classic style. It was pre-selected for the RP exhibition at the Mall Galleries but did not make the final cut. It sold on the preview evening of a prestigious Yorkshire exhibition - unfortunately underpriced it was also wanted by two other prospective buyers and I am now in the process of painting another version for one of these people.
The painting is set in a contemporary dark mahogany effect tray frame measuring 69cm x 48 cm overall x 35 mm deep.

I have used the same paint on the heads of the grasses, so they catch the light..

I have used oils on a 12in x 24in canvas to create Poppies-- an atmospheric painting with beautiful red poppies against a grey, brooding,stormy sky.
I have used a knife to create lots of texture in the waves, and the poppies are also textured.The painting continues around the edges of the canvas and it does not require framing.

Serenity In Blue

Dream On
Description:
I love working with melted wax...and this painting was a joy to create!
I have used a special iron and tools to manipulate the coloured high quality bees wax on the perspex..
Look closely and you will see all manner of things in the painting--faces and little creatures --
I can see a rams head on the left hand side of the painting!
The other 2 pics are close ups..
The wax side of the perspex has been reversed into the frame to protect it.
The frame is a plain black one that suits the painting beautifully.
