"A La Chandelle (By Candle Light)
This is Claudine, a beautiful young lady of French Polynesian origin who, with her husband Armand, runs a marvellous little restaurant just off the chic (and very expensive) main street in the town of Aix-en-Provence in the south of France former home of Paul Cezanne. Their very reasonably priced restaurant is one for the gourmet and serves meals in a wonderfully romantic atmosphere enhanced by the mellow lighting from the candles hence the inspiration for this painting. The work is painted in oil on a stretched canvas and is set in a contemporary dark mahogany effect tray frame measuring 88 cm x 68 cm x 35mm overall. It is strung ready for immediate hanging.
Seated At Table
One of the latest in the popular Birch Tree series of paintings. Ive used high quality paint and canvas for this painting...the trees are painted using a silver paint over a cream base which catches the light at different times of the day. It would look great in a contemporary home or a more traditional one.. the edges have all been painted and it has been varnished to protect it. You can see the view of the side edge on the photos.. Reduced by £20 25% of all sales are being donated towards the O'Connor Cancer Unit at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital where my son Jim is being treated..
Two trees in Mist
Photographic Giclee print on FineART FibreMATTE 300gsm paper, using archival lightfast pigment inks. Paper size 23.5 x16.5 inches ( 59.5 x 42 cm ) Image size 20.8 x 9.75 inches (53 x 24.7 cm ) Limited edition of 25 Signed and numbered by the photographer (below the printed area) I love photographing trees in the Winter, as the structure is really enhanced without leaves on the branches. The background mist really helped to highlight these two silhouetted trees.
Towanroath Engine House, Wheal Coates, Cornwall
Photographic Giclee print on FineART FibreMATTE 300gsm paper, using archival lightfast pigment inks. Paper size 23.5 x16.5 inches ( 59.5 x 42 cm ) Image size 21.1 x 12.75 inches ( 53.5 x 32.5 ) Limited edition of 25 Signed and numbered by the photographer (below the printed area) A well known vista in Cornwall. I've photographed this Engine House many times in colour, but always thought it would be a suitable candidate for black and white. This part of Cornwall has many engine houses along the coast, the remnants of a once great industry.
Beside the Red DOOR
A whimsical pen & ink drawing of a seahorse with a slightly supercilious expression. This is not a print, it's a piece of original art, made using fine drawing pens and black ink, on cartridge paper. He measures 13cm (about 5") from the tips of his horns to the end of his tail, and the drawing comes complete with a wide black mount, ready for framing. The external size of the mount is 8" x 10".
