The Man In Black

A hand made guitar shaped clock,
Made from one piece reclaimed pine panel,
All graphics and lettering burnt in by hand, no lasers used in production of my works .
The Man in Black is a study of Johnny Cash,burnt into the wooden guitar shaped panel, A brass shotgun shell top is inserted to mark the 12oclock position.
The clock is a battery operated quartz movement,
With brushed steel hands and a ticking second hand. There is a hanging loop attached to the clock mechanism.
The pine is stained with a light oak stain and finished with Briwax light brown beeswax furniture polish,
giving a deep lustre to the timber,
Each item is individual.

Privy Garden
Description:
This acrylic painting was composed and painted in 4 hours as a wild card artist entry which was featured in Sky Landscape Artist of the Year Heat 1, Episode 1, Series 10 aired on 22nd January 2025. It was painted in the Privy Garden in Hampton Court Palace on a scorching hot day in late June 2024 when the heat was filmed. The view of the entire palace and privy gardens would have been too much to paint in 4 hours so I chose to paint an abstract view with certain features of the palace and gardens including a prominent statue which is the focus of the painting.
