Stag Materializing
Description:
Stag Materializing
Stag Materializing is an oil painting of a red deer stag painted in a semi abstract style and in vibrant rainbow colours. It is 40x40x1.5 inches. The painting is multilayered and multicoloured but the predominate colours are purples and oranges. The face and antlers of the stag are painted in a portrait style but the body becomes more and more transparent as it recedes into the strange space of the background. To the right is the hint of a pine tree. The painting was made as I sometimes really just want to paint a beautiful animal. Be advised that there is a texture to the painting as another painting is underneath it (also of a stag but smaller) some of this can be detected by touching it but it does not affect the majesty of the painting. Painted on 3D canvas, edges white, no frame needed, ready to hang, comes with certificate of authenticity by the artist.

Follow the Dream
Description:
A golden, vibrantly coloured panoramic oil painting of the path through an ancient woodland in autumn. 40x16x1.5 inches. The painting technique is blurred and impasto and has a golden glow to it that changes throughout the day depending on the light. This painting almost vibrates with the promise of good things around the next bend. The inspiration was lots of woodland walks taken in autumn in the East Sussex area where the paths through the trees are often well worn and very old. Many were droversâ paths used for herding animals and the echoes of the past are very strong in some of them. I tried to capture the feeling of anticipation and hope of revelation that I often get when around trees and ancient forests. The title refers to the idea that it is a good idea to dream and that you may find what you are looking for around the next bend⦠Dedicated to nature conservationists everywhere. Painted on 3D canvas. Edges painted dark purple, no frame needed.

Somewhere in an Autumn Clearing
Description:
This oil painting is 40x40x1.5 inches and shows a glowing autumn landscape with two swallows playing in a clearing. It is semi abstract in style and painted using techniques that allow the viewer a glimpse of a little magical universe. The energy and the drama of an autumn clearing and trees is shown in the flow lines and blurred edges and other whimsical flourishes. The colours range through purple, blue, magenta, orange and golden yellow. The two swallows are swooping and diving in a clearing beyond a tree on the left and a patch of golden green meadow and more trees beyond. The sun is shining and the swallows are having a last meal before they fly south from England for the winter. The painting was inspired by the Wadhurst area of Sussex which has many rolling meadows and crevices and patches of woodland and streams where magical things take place if you just take care to look⦠(which I do!) Painted on deep edge canvas, white edges, ready to hang and no frame needed.

Description:
The Song of the Deer is a colourful semi abstract oil painting of a group of deer in an autumn wood. It is 40x30x1.5 inches. The painting shows a fallow deer buck next to a pine tree as he looks towards three female deer in a clearing to his left and above him. The painting is very colourful and has a slightly fairy tale feeling to it - there is clearly a story (or song) going on between the male and the female deer. The inspiration for the painting was a walk I took in Knole Park, Sevenoaks one autumn where there is a long grassy valley between heathland and forest where the deer can be heard calling to each other during breeding season. The stag in this painting is one I followed for a while up a slope through some ferns which were in full autumn mode of gold, orange and green. Behind him I could see a small bunch of females appearing and disappearing out of the forest and ferns and I felt happy to be witnessing a cycle of nature that is timeless and fascinating to see. It is painted on deep edge canvas, edges white, ready to hang and no frame needed. Comes with certificate of authenticity and gifts from the artist.

Tiger in the Ether
Description:
Tiger in the Ether is a 40x40x1.5 inches purple oil painting of a semi-abstract art-nouveau style tiger against an abstract background. The style is slightly art nouveau and makes use of the complementary colours of purple with yellow and orange with blue which makes the colours very vibrant and almost mystical. The background hints at trees and light behind them but is quite abstract. The tiger herself has a pensive expression and looks kinder than most tigers. She appears to be dissolving into the ether (ether being a spiritual idea) and has sparkles of light or energy flowing out from her. In reality, tigers really are in danger of dissolving out of existence so the message is quite poignant. Painted on deep edge canvas, white edges, ready to hang and comes with certificate of authenticy and gifts from the artist.

Transcendent Springtime
Description:
Transcendent Springtime is an exuberant semi-abstract painting of a springtime landscape with a brown hare in a wildflower meadow. It is 48x36 inches. The painting shows an ethereal scene whereby lots of particles, of various sizes, move in towards the centre of the painting where they coalesce into a joyful spring landscape. The brown hare is well disguised among the flowers and looks vaguely surprised by the way his world is in the process of being created or is possibly dissolving. This is partly inspired by the fact that whilst I love springtime, the flowers blooming and wildlife and bird activity changes very quickly from one week to the next and gives me a desperate urge to experience as much of it as I can before having to wait another year! A line of yellow flowers run across the middle of the marking the edge of the river. You cannot see the river itself but it has the meadow in the foreground and trees and fields in the background. The inspiration for this painting is a place near where I live in Forest by the bank of the river Medway. The feeling I was trying to convey is my constant one â Nature is beautiful, seasons are exciting, especially April and May, and our planet and its landscapes and wildlife need to be cherished and protected. Dedicated to everyone who is doing this from the person who picks up some litter to the David Attenboroughâs and Chris Packhamâs of the world â it is all valuable so thank you. Painted on deep edge canvas, white edges, no frame needed, ready to hang.

Homebound
Description:
I was mesmerised by the sea from the back of a boat. This painting depicts my experience of this watching the land move away as we came home. There is a little silver leaf underpinning this oil painting, so it looks different depending on the light, thereby adding to the sense of movement in the painting.
