I am enjoying doing some different art lately...after becoming a lot more disabled of late I am discovering new techniques of creating art.. ''Bizarre'' is very colourful, with lots going on in there! Lots of 'cells' of colour abound-- I have included 2 close up details.. A New Dawn
One of the latest in the popular Birch Tree series of paintings. Ive used high quality paint and canvas for this painting...the trees are painted using a silver paint over a cream base which catches the light at different times of the day. It would look great in a contemporary home or a more traditional one.. the edges have all been painted and it has been varnished to protect it. You can see the view of the side edge on the photos.. A moody, stormy sky over a grassy bank of beautiful red poppies and grasses.. some texture in the water with thick waves coming onto the beach. The poppies have some texture to them too. Some thing different! I have used acrylic and oils on a 60cm x30cm box canvas.Beautiful bubbles appear due to a special chemical reaction..its quite stunning -even if I do say so myself! Lots of different shades of blues and turquoise over the top of silver and gold bubbles,, you can imagine what lies beneath the bubbles.. Something a little different to my norm.. I really enjoyed creating this small series of abstract paintings.. I have used oil paints on a black background, and merged all of the colours together as I have painted.. This canvas measures 80cm x 60cm but you could turn it the other way up if you chose!
