Beautiful England
Description:
Beautiful England is an English countryside inspired landscape oil painting with pheasants and poppies in a summer meadow. It is 40x40x1.5 inches. The painting has a lot of energy to it although it is a peaceful scene and it catapults the viewer into the landscape by use of blurred edges and carefully placed lines and shapes. Two pheasants stand on the right surrounded by poppies. At the back of the meadow a path leads off into the next field and then towards the hills in the distance. It is contemporary semi-abstract and art nouveau in style. The pheasants are painted quite delicately and the poppies with thick, very bright red paint. The painting was inspired by a lovely sultry summer afternoon walk that I took near Selmeston village which sits to the north of the South Downs hills near Brighton. It sums up my absolute love of English landscapes especially in summer when the poppies come out in a mad contrast to the greens of the hills and fields and trees. Painted on deep edge canvas, edges white, no frame necessary, ready to hang and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Description:
A large square contemporary gloss varnished acrylic painting depicting The Monument, London. I painted an animated fiery background to give the impression of flames reaching up to the sky as may have been seen during the Great Fire of London, to which the Monument was built in commemoration. It measures 910 x 910 x 38 mm (36 x 36 x 1.5 inches) and is painted on a deep set high quality cotton box canvas (380g/m2). The sides are painted so it doesnât necessarily need a frame.

Emanation is a semi-abstract contemporary landscape oil painting of a white egret on a river bank with green trees and pink wildflowers. It is 36x36x1.5 inches and is predominantly green. It was painted using many transparent layers of paint that give it a magical aspect as it appears to be shimmering in and out of reality â hence the title. The egret sits on the right bank of the river flexing and shaking her wispy feathers and there is a feeling of having come across her but she has not yet seen us. She was painted using thick white paint which is merging with the others layer of the painting. The inspiration was a walk I took along the river Medway near Tunbridge Wells in June where white egrets can often be seen against the green willows and riverbank reeds and flowers. Despite this being quite a common sight, these birds are very beautiful and it always feels like a treat to see them. This a tribute to the luscious greens of June in the countryside and the wildlife you can spot as you walk along rivers. It is painted on deep edge canvas, green edges, ready to hang, no frame needed and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Description:
An unusual depiction of a female nude with a dramatic lighting effect. The work is set in a contemporary dark mahogany effect tray frame measuring 68 cm x 48 cm x 35mm overall, strung ready for hanging. The painting is currently on display in an exhibition in Aix-en-Provence, France - though not for sale there) but can be reserved for delivery in early July.
