Popocatepetl
Description:
Synergy of watercolour paint and digital process.
During an art residency in Mexico inspired by Homero Aridjisâ poem I painted the famous volcano Popocatepetl with the legendry Quetzalcoatl emerging from its heart.
âRed sun in the west.
Long fixed rays piercing the valley.
Sky tensely blue.
Among the volcanic peaks, the smoking crest of Popocatepetl.
From its summit, loose rocks roll down, silent, without weight, like a cataclysm without sound.â
