The Factory Outing
Description:
This is No.20 of my `Northern Art` collection. They are all the same size, just 14" x 10" x half inch thick. I paint the edges as well so no framing is required. They all depict a bygone time, with vintage vehicles, and life generally in mainly northern sooty smokey mill towns.
In this one the factory has treated all the workers to a day out, and it looks like they are headed across the moors, hopefully to somewhere exciting. I would say they are glad to be away from the great smoking chimneys...which can been seen in the distant valley.
These are all painted on my own HANDMADE canvas boards...which are about half inch thick, with a high quality close weave canvas.
