Godrevy Lighthouse, Cornwall
We've had some fantastic days surfing and body-boarding (me!) down at Gwithian Sands and this tries to capture the intense blues of the sky and sea, and the brilliant white contrast of the iconic Godrevy Lighthouse. Pure summer holidays! Limited edition Giclée prints available to order £75. Contact me if interested.
Shuttlingsloe above Macclesfield Forest
This is Hen Cloud, which is part of a gritstone escarpment on the very south western edge of the Peak District. It's quite an impressive hill and I wanted to give it sharpness and simplicity of shape, so it's quite loosely painted but with intense colours and well-defined foreground. Limited edition Giclée prints available to order £75. Contact me if interested.
Looking north from The Roaches
In this seascape of Runswick Bay I tried to capture the leisurely, relaxed atmosphere that exists in this wonderful seaside hamlet. It's a very British family seaside view on a warm sunny afternoon of people taking a stroll, rock-pooling or collecting fossils, pebbles or shells with friends and family.
Pink Poppy 1
Red Poppy 1
I love painting poppies because it's so relaxing to do The flowers are so bright and interesting, yet so short-lived. The petals are almost see through and fold beautifully in the breeze. Also, the bees love them! This is a bright red poppy from my mum's garden and is a lovely bright, orange-red.
