Artist Biography:
I am originally from Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.I attended the local art college and completed an art foundation course.I was accepted on an art and design degree course in the Midlands but sadly could not complete it due to personal circumstances. I have always painted and have appeared in various exhibitions over the years e.g. Herbert Art Gallery ,Coventry,Bankside Gallery, London and various smaller exhibitions.I moved to North Devon in 2004 and it was then that I started selling on a regular basis at my local gallery.I am inspired by the local landscape and especially the surf scene as I am into surfing myself.
My surf paintings sometimes depict snapshots of images I see when I,m, perhaps, paddling out or sat on the edge of a shoulder of a wave.I see the moment close up and file it to memory.
