 PembrokeshireU3A Art Groups
Artist Biography:
U3A or the University of the Third Age is a national organization devoted to encouraging activities among senior citizens. Pembrokeshire U3A is fortunate in having two art groups that meet regularly. Individuals are free to choose their subject and their medium and we have members working in oils, pastels, watercolour, acrylic and pen and ink. Most of us are self taught so we not only enjoy one another’s company but learn from seeing different approaches and techniques.. Occasionally we have demonstrations and workshops with well known artists A number of us are interested in offering our work for sale. We are proud of our artistic standard and want others to enjoy our work and so our prices are pitched at levels that seldom reflect the true value of a painting. We try to keep paintings really affordable and for this reason, a number of us use standard size mounts that fit a wide range of less expensive standard size, but attractive, frames so avoiding the considerable cost of framing to fit.
We sincerely hope you enjoy our paintings.

Ray Bryan
Began painting in oils many years ago but \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"She who must be obeyed\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" finally gave up on the smell and I migrated to oil filled pastels that proved very successful. Various pressures caused me to stop until well into retirement and widowed I began painting again but took the challenge of watercolour that presently is my favoured medium, though acrylics and soft pastel are both vying for attention. Apart from the work exhibited here I paint a range of small paintings that sell quite well on behalf of the local church. I simply love painting and am happy to accept commissions that I will generaye from a photograph supplied. If you wish to contact me I am avalable on 01646 684806 or rbryan116@btinternet.com

Muriel davies
I began painting in watercolour and a little oil when I was around the age of twelve. I won in a local Eisteddfodd but with the pressures of education then working, marriage and bringing up a family, it was well into retirement that I took up painting again. My interest at present is a form of negative painting which I find very addictive but time consuming. I also paint traditionally and take commissions. All my paintings will fit standard frames of various sizes by the use of mounts and vary from 11 x 14 to 24 x 16. One mount is free of charge but if more are required there is a small charge extra. My contact e:mail is bigmu@live.co.uk.

She specialises in local Pembrokeshire street scenes or landscapes.

Carol Miller
I have always shown an interest in drawing and painting and coming to beautiful Pembrokeshire from London where I was born, I found the inspiration to continue my art. After retirement from a busy career in nursing, I attended and still do various art classes and workshops given by local artists and now enjoy an absorbing hobby. Pembrokeshire is a County that inspires artists and as such there are plenty of opportunities to exhibit art. I therefore, exhibit regularly and find it rewarding meeting up with like minded people.
