Artist Biography:
I was born & live in Yorkshire, there is so much inspiration here, countryside, parks, gardens etc.There is inspiration every were, on holidays whether at home or abroad there is always inspiration.
When I retired I decided to start going to art classes because this was something I had always wanted to do. I went to art classes for a few years, I have always been interested in art & thought it would be a lovely pastime. It is now a lot more than a pastime it's a passion, I find that each one of my paintings has a meaning & I try to get this meaning across to other people; hopefully I am succeeding.
I have done paintings in watercolours, acrylics, oils, pastels etc but oils & acrylic are my favourites & I tend to do most of my paintings in these mediums.
To see my paintings hanging on a wall in an exhibition is absolutely fabulous, something I never dreamed of when I first started, but I have achieved it. To sell my paintings was something else I never thought I would have achieved when I started painting but I am doing this as well. I just love to paint.
