Smoke Rising to Croker Hill
Description:
This is a fairly large canvas of a rural scene above Macclesfield. It's a view from Back Eddisbury Road towards Croker Hill on a bright winter's day. I liked the way the light caught the smoke as it drifted upwards and how vibrant the 'greens' were despite it being mid-winter. Acrylic on canvas.

The graduated browns of the three panels set off the raised textured sections which have been built up in multi-coloured layers to create embossed swirls of colour and depth.
