Shapes and Colours
Contemporary sailing boat. Clean white horses stand out against the blue, green and turquoise waves as the cutter runs ahead of the wind. These boats were used in the original Americas Cup races and I love the beauty of them under full sail. The paint has been applied in layers to add a textured look and feel to this modern and contemporary painting. The painting continues round the edges of the canvas frame so that it is ready for immediate hanging. This painting has been finished with a protective satin varnish. This painting is on a standard edge canvas.
A combination of unusual colours that work really well together! The dark turquoise green and purple make this painting a little different.. I have used high quality acrylic paint on a chunky 80 cm x 30cm , all of the sides are painted and it does not require a frame. I have used a pretty ,sparkly paint to add the stars in the sky. The painting is strung, varnished and ready to hang,, Reduced by £50 I will donate 25% of sales to the O'Connor Cancer Unit at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital where my son is being treated.
A relaxing Tuscan scene in purple and brown vibrant colours. This painting will look stunning in any room and add an interesting focal point. The painting continues round the edges of the frame so it is ready to hang with no need for framing. This creates a very simple but effective style. The Raven's Wood
30 x 30 x 1.5 Original oil of an English woodland path. The colours are summer to autumn and there is raven circling above the trees watching as you walk her path. The painting was made after a walk in the Ashdown Forest where ravens and crows seemed to report my progress for the entirety of my journey. I never underestimate birds - they know far more than we assume and I would not be surprised if the Green Man himself is their boss. The painting is quite 3D in aspect and the colours shimmer and change throughout the day as the sunlight moves round the room. The style is impressionist, semi abstract. The edges are white with a hint of lilac and no frame is needed.
The Hunter's Shimmering Forest - A Large Colourful Semi Abstract Lands
A 36 x 36 x 1.5 inches large original oil on canvas. The painting is a very colourful, semi abstract landscape and has a white barn owl hovering in the gap between the trees above the woodland path. Her attention is on something we cannot see. The painting style is abstract expressionist, art deco and a little art nouveau and was created using thick oil paint that is slightly glossy. The canvas is deep edged and white with a hint of blue. A frame is not necessary. I painted the bright colours using varying brush sizes, wet into wet method, using lots of linseed oil and the tree and light shapes began to form as I did this. The owl went in last as I wanted her there to look after the final scene.
A calming sunset lakeland scene with sailing boats and distant hills. The relaxing colours in this painting will complement most colour schemes and add an interesting focal point to any room. The painting continues round the edges of the frame so it is ready to hang with no need for framing. This creates a very simple but effective style. This painting has been finished with a protective satin varnish. This painting is on a standard edge canvas.
