Black and White Highland
"Embrace" is a beautiful painting that captures the bond between a lion and lioness the way he is almost cuddling the lioness to me shows him protecting her.The image of the lions is on a black back drop so that the focus is purely on the lions it is sure to look wonderful on your wall.
This stunning landing of a swan on the river captures both the power and the grace of nature. As an original piece of art it would make a great gift, or treat yourself and bring a bit of the wild into your own home. Painted in acrylics on a 60x40cm canvas with sides also painted, ready to hang. The work is signed on the front, and a signed Certificate of Authenticity will accompany the painting.
Hedgehog - pencil drawing
Hedgehog drawing. An original pencil drawing of a pygmy hedgehog, drawn with soft graphite pencils on cream paper and mounted, ready to frame. I love attending Wildlife Drawing sessions, and a couple of years ago got the opportunity to sketch (and hold!) some gorgeous pygmy hedgehogs. This particular hedgehog has such a lovely friendly face, that I'm sure this piece of art will make you smile every time you see it! The drawing itself measures about 6" x 8", and has been sealed inside an 8" x 10" ivory coloured mount. I've included an example of how it could look framed, but please note the frame is not included, only the mount.
Two Mackerel on Wooden Block
I think one of the main functions of art is to find new meanings in traditional symbols. The fact that this eagle has been a symbol of the American empire for so long, makes people many times forget the beauty in itself of this animal. For me this eagle represents tenacity, speed and conviction which I aim to transmit. This work was done with an expressionist style, with thick and strong strokes the colors used are those of the American flag on purpose. I wonder how much culture can influence the appreciation of an animal.
I am a sinner
This is my version of the Munch´s scream It is inspired by a scene from the movie "There will be blood", where the protagonist daniel plainview confesses to the religious community his feeling of guilt mixed with anger. This piece of art is of Expressionist character, its main objective is to convey the choleric character of the character. mixed with the guilt he feels at the time I think this work to captures the need to scream in order to release contained emotions, just like in the movie when after doing so the protagonist experiences an inner change.
