Glimpse of April
Glimpse of April is a semi abstract oil painting inspired by spring blossom and deer. The inspiration behind it was simply to try and capture that brief moment in April in England when the pink blossom trees bloom. I had been walking around the Knole Park area of Sevenoaks in Kent where a large herd of fallow deer live in the grounds of a stately home. One young deer stood under a blossom tree and flashed her white bottom at me before disappearing into the woods. I liked the fairy tale quality of it and although the painting is a little experimental it does give me a glimpse of that moment â hence the title. It is 30x30x1.5 inches on deep edge canvas (so frame not needed), edges white.
The artwork has been created in 2020. It si an oil painting on cotton deep edge canvas. It's a realistic portrait of a jazz musician playing piano on the stage. The man is dressed in dark navy blue vest, matching trousers and a white shirt. He wears a bow tie. The painting is kept in dark colours: black and bown shades.

This artwork is an MDF laser cut shape. It's is created via a pouring acrylics method, then embellished when dry.It doesn't show well in photos but there is a fine glitter effect that sparkles with tiny dots of colour under lights. There's a video clip showing it better in my art blog jeannie's art adventures. It's then coated in a resin glaze which gives a ceramic like appearance. There is a D hook attachment fixed to rear of work so its ready to hang. Some of these come in more than one so can be sold as pairs, and discounted as usual for multiple purchases. This work is 14 inches high by 17 inches wide. Postage to mainland UK is included, postage abroad can be quoted for on request.
