Meadow with Poppies
Back in childhood VI
This painting is created as one of the works in the series about toy train. These works were inspired by my son. Games with my son led me into thinking about my childhood, and my toys. Some of which have not changed over time. And this could be considered a monument to my father because there's no longer Him to ask about His childhood.

Synergy of watercolour paint and digital process. During an art residency in Mexico inspired by Homero Aridjis poem I painted the famous volcano Popocatepetl with the legendry Quetzalcoatl emerging from its heart. Red sun in the west. Long fixed rays piercing the valley. Sky tensely blue. Among the volcanic peaks, the smoking crest of Popocatepetl. From its summit, loose rocks roll down, silent, without weight, like a cataclysm without sound. New Fire by Homero Aridjis
Angel Escapes to the Sea
Angel Escapes to the Sea is another in a series of big vibrant blue underwater paintings of fish in a blue ocean. This particular fish is a golden angel fish and was painted using gold and pearlescent paints to make her sparkle. Angle fish like this would not really be found in the ocean but I liked the idea of her escaping and being free - hence the title. It is a painting about having lots of space and freedom and being happy in solitude. It seemed fitting to paint it during the Corvid 19 lock down so I can escape myself a bit - plus anyone else who wants to! The painting is mostly blue and turquoise and focuses on the sparkling waves at the top and the light patterns made on the sandy bottom of the sea by the light that bounces off them. It tries to capture that lovely holiday feeling you get in the sea on sunny days. Dedicated to anyone who would like a bit of freedom right now. It is 40x40x1.5 inches, white edges, ready to hang, no frame needed. Video: https://youtu.be/6qcqoLUY3Qk
