Scene from my Garden 2
ANOTHER BRICK IN THE WALL
Heavily textured canvas, portraying inner emotions; building walls around us for protection which also pushes away feelings of experiencing being alive. Having confidence in breaking down the walls, to take chances and remember there is so much to see and feel and enjoy. Sides are painted a dark blue black so no need to frame.
My thanks to Isabel Morelli for the reference photograph. "Don't ruffle my feathers"! one blue and yellow macaw seems to be saying to the other in this pencil painting by Elaine Jones. The blue and yellow, or blue and gold macaw, ara ararauna, is native to tropical South American woodland and can grow to 30-34 inches and a weight of 2 or 3 pounds. These large, long-lived members of the parrot family are widespread in much of South America and are popular as pets because of their brilliant plumage, intelligence and ability to talk. In the wild they nest in dead palm trees and pairs usually mate for life, often reaching an age of 30-35 years. This original pencil painting is presented in a cream mount/matte ready for framing. (Image size approx. 29cm x 21cm" - external size 35cm x 28cm)
Silver Rabbit Family
Contemporary painting of a rabbit family set against a textured and metallic background. This painting would suit most homes and would be especially good for children's bedrooms. The light catches the texture adding interest from all angles. The painting continues round the edges of the canvas making this ready for immediate hanging and it has been finished with a protective satin varnish.
Thinking Inside The Box
Laced Coffee and Cream
Abstract painting in colours of cream, copper, bronze and beige, painted in layers over a textured ground, giving a latticed effect as hints of blue and red show through the painting. Sides are painted and it is ready to hang on a wall. A certificate of authenticity is supplied with the painting.
